March Was Disability Awareness Month – Does Your Disability Insurance Plan Cover “Own Occupation”

Disability insurance can vary from plan to plan.  One reason ABA members turn to ABE-sponsored disability income insurance is the “own occupation” definition of disability.  With this feature, you can receive benefits for up to 5 years when you are totally disabled and unable to perform your regular job or legal specialty – not just “any job”.
